Leanne Horwitz: I am currently part of the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching program (http://www.fulbrightteacherexchange.org/dteIndex.cfm). Originally from South Africa, the Fulbright program has brought me to the States for four months to study, observe and to implement a project about how teaching about South Africa's transition to democracy can build conflict prevention and resolution skills. I am based at the University of Maryland, College Park. This blog intends to record some of my thoughts and experiences on this mad-cap, inspiring, expanding journey.
